Ice Rink Rules

Rink By-Laws and Rules
For use of Community Association Members only. All members of the community are welcome to skate, play hockey, or meet their friends here.
The following are prohibited from the ice rink:

• Animals
• Food and beverages
• Tobacco products
• Alcoholic beverages
• Profanity
• Personal music devices (MP players, walkmans etc.)
• Horseplay including: TAG, chain skating, throwing snowballs, racing and intentionally sliding 
• Speed skates
• Chipping or gouging the ice with skates 
• Illegal drugs are not permitted on the premises

Safety:

• Hockey Games are limited to North ½ of Main Rink 
• No pucks on Children’s Rink (adjacent)
• No slap shots
• Maintain a safe controlled speed
• Skate in the same direction
• Beginner skaters only on Children’s Rink (adjacent)
• Helmets are recommended 
• Wheelchairs are allowed on the ice (attendants must wear spikies or skates)
• Please don’t stand around, keep moving at all times

ASSUMPTION OF RISK:

Skaters and spectators are deemed to have knowledge of and assume the inherent risks including, but are not limited to:

a) Injuries from collisions or contact with other individuals on the ice surface

b) Injuries from falls

c) Injuries from pucks, sticks and other hockey equipment that may cause injury during routine activities connected to the sport
