Autumn is a very busy time of year. Summer holidays are over and many families and individuals in the community have gotten back into the work and school groove.
Our goal is for the community association to provide programs and facilities that are oriented towards all members of our community: children, seniors, families, empty nesters, singles and couples. If you think you would like to organize a program or head up an initiative, the community could use your help. First and foremost, we need you to come out to the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on November 12th at 7pm to cast your vote for our next slate of directors to the board.
The AGM will also be an opportunity to put forth your nomination for a seat on the board. All board positions, except for Planning/Civic Director and Preschool Liaison, are open for nomination. If you are a community-oriented person looking to participate in the operation and success of your association, now is the time to get involved. Whether you are interested in a seat on the Board or would like to volunteer to help on a committee or event, you can make a difference.
The following positions will be voted in at the AGM:
- Executive Directors: President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary
- Directors: Ice Rink, Building Maintenance, Social, Grants, Fundraising, and Communications/Marketing (incl. Website)

The reality of the community association is that it cannot run without volunteer efforts. Our preschool, ice rink, 55+ club, community clean-up, casino fundraisers, and regular social events such as the Halloween party, Winterfest, and Jane’s Walk are all made possible through the efforts of our dedicated volunteers and facility manager. We hope to see you at the AGM!
