Camp Amicus July 28 – August 8

“Camp Amicus is an amazing place where my son can be himself and people accept him for who he is. He comes home happy and full of life, I’m so happy I found this amazing camp!!”

Camp Amicus is a specialized camp for children and youth with learning disabilities and/or ADHD. The goals of the camp are to build self-esteem and confidence and develop social skills. Camp counselors are specially trained to understand the needs of campers with learning disabilities and ADHD. With a maximum of 30 participants and a 3:1 ratio of campers to counsellors, our campers are able to get the individualized attention they need and deserve. Away from the academic demands of the school year, our camp strives to help campers discover their strengths.

Most of all, campers have a lot of fun at Camp Amicus! Along with engaging social skills lessons, campers have opportunities to try new activities in a safe and supportive environment. A variety of activities are offered such as swimming, games, sports, arts and crafts and popular outings to Calaway Park, Telus Spark and horseback riding at Our Lady Queen of Peace Ranch.

Camp Amicus is offering a two-week day camp at the PBP Community Centre from July 28 – August 8 for 8 – 12 year olds. Other dates, locations and age groups are available. For more information, email or call 403-270-9400 or go to for more information.
