Community Action needed now!!!

You have probably heard about the City hearing this month to consider the repeal of blanket rezoning.  Hoping many people have submitted comments or registered to speak, and it is not too late to write to our councillor and the mayor, email addresses below. The more people they hear from will help support how they will vote.  As ever, we support density as long as it is in appropriate locations but we shouldn’t have density everywhere, with no discretion.

And we have an immediate concern that needs your voice…

A new development permit application is under review for 9427 Palliser Place SW. It is a rowhouse building with 8 suites and a garage.  It is located at the entrance to a narrow cul-de-sac on the corner with Palliser Drive, just east of 24 Street. The immediate neighbours have reached out to PBPCA and we are responding. We ask you to respond as well, and encourage your neighbours too.

There are serious concerns about pedestrian safety, traffic, emergency vehicle access to the culdesac,  insufficient parking,  waste bins blocking the street, drainage issues with full lot coverage, limiting sunshine and privacy for neighbours with this large building proposed on a single residential lot.

Application no. is DP2026-00947. You can look at the project plans and submit your comments to the City through this Development Map link:

Comments are due by March 30, please submit through the link AND write to Councillor Ward and the Mayor with our collective concerns..
